Yalova is one of the important centres where intercontinental crossing is available. With the bordering cities of Bursa and izmit, the city of Yalova is the opening gate of European part of the Continent to other Anatolian cities and Anatolian part of Istanbul. The city has a wide range of possibilities of sea and territorial transportation, it has territorial connection to all the neighbouring cities as well as ferry crossings. it offers less-than-an hour fast ferry crossing by fast ferries to the seaports of Kartal, Bostanci, Yenikapi and Kaba-tas of Istanbul. Eskihisar seaport of Gebze is also just half an hour away. Being at the centre of crossways, the city is also crucially connects the territorial transportation to the sea transportation. The vicinity of Yalova varies from 25 to 69 km lo the neighbouring cities of Bursa and iznik, and the towns of Karamursel, Orhangazi, Gemlik and Golcuk. There are regular transportation connections between those central cities and ist own towns. Yalova also has fine yachting marina that can house many yachts. Although the city does not have a civilian airport, there is a military airport of Military School Air forces on route to Kocaeli.
